George Escaravage, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon with specialized expertise in the management of conditions affecting the eyelids and surrounding face, the tear drainage system, and the eye socket. His practice involves caring for patients of all ages with corrective, reconstructive, and cosmetic concerns centered around the eyes.

Dr. Escaravage routinely performs surgery for patients with drooping eyelids (adults and children), eyelid malpositions, uncontrolled tearing, and tumors/cancers of the eyelid and eye socket. He also has a special interest in the medical and surgical care of patients with facial spastic disorders and Grave’s thyroid eye disease.

He received his M.D. with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. After completing a one year internship in Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, Dr. Escaravage returned to North Carolina to complete his residency and ASOPRS fellowship with Dr. Jonathan Dutton.
