Cesar A. Briceno is an Associate Professor of ophthalmology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with clinical expertise in abnormal eyelashes, artificial tears, blepharitis, blepharitis cleansing routine, blepharoplasty – eyelid lift, drooping eyelid (ptosis), eyelid deformities, eyelid disorders, eyelid lesions, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), eyelid tumors, facial skin cancer, lower eyelid surgery (canthoplasty), melanoma, oculofacial and orbital surgery, oculoplastic surgery, ophthalmic plastic surgery, orbital surgery, tear duct surgery, and thyroid eye disorders.

Dr. Briceno received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine followed by residencies from Greater Baltimore Medical Center and USC Medical Center and fellowship from University of Michigan Medical Center.

Dr. Briceno is interested in studying surgical and quality of life outcomes in eyelid, orbital and lacrimal surgery. He is also interested in finding ways to enhance medical student and resident education, especially in surgical settings. He is also interested in finding novel ways to enhance provider diversity within the surgical subspecialties.
