Jimmy Uddin is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, specialising in adnexal (oculoplastics, orbital and lacrimal) conditions with over 25 years of experience. He has a deep interest in thyroid eye disease, eyelid conditions (including ptosis, cosmetic tumour & reconstructive), orbital (inflammation and tumors) and watery eye (lacrimal) surgery.
Dr. Jimmy Uddin received his medical degrees from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, and University of Cambridge and fellowship from Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He is the longest serving Paediatric Oculoplastic/Orbital surgeon at Moorfields, treating children’s (paediatric) adnexal conditions including watery eyes, droopy eyelids (potsis) & chalazia.
Dr. Jimmy Uddin works in a number of top London hospitals (Moorfields Eye Hospital and St. George’s Hospital Medical School) and attends in his private practice at Moorfields, Upper Wimpole St and Parkside, Wimbledon. He is a member of many prestigious boards like British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS); American Academy of Ophthalmology; European Society Of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS) and International Thyroid Eye Disease Society (ITEDS). Besides this he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and Chairman of Thyroid Eye Disease Charitable Trust (TEDct). He has worked and taught nationally and internationally always with the highest degree of patient care and attention.
