The Thyroid and Parathyroid Center at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta offers comprehensive care for all conditions of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, including thyroid cancer, in both adults and children. As the only center of its kind in the area, it draws patients from Georgia, South Carolina, the Southeast and beyond.
The Thyroid and Parathyroid Center treats approximately 2,500 patients and performs more than 1,000 procedures each year. The center’s multidisciplinary team of physicians includes highly skilled endocrinologists, renowned otolaryngologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists and pathologists.
Working together, this team provides the latest diagnostics, care and surgery for the full range of thyroid problems and parathyroid problems, including thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, goiter, hyperparathyroidism, Graves disease, Hashimotos thyroiditis (autoimmune thyroiditis), hypothyroidism, thyroid eye disease, pediatric thyroid disease, etc.
