La enfermedad de Graves en un recién nacido se produce cuando la madre tiene o ha tenido la enfermedad de Graves. Los anticuerpos de la madre pueden atravesar la placenta y afectar a la glándula tiroides del bebé en crecimiento. La enfermedad de Graves en una mujer embarazada puede dar lugar a la muerte fetal, aborto involuntario o parto prematuro.
