Dr. Mario Salvi is a specialist in endocrinology and nuclear medicine and works at the Endocrinology Unit of the IRCCS Cà Granda Foundation, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico and the Department of Clinical Sciences and Community of the University of Milan. He has an experience in the treatment of diseases like autoimmune thyroid diseases, Basedow’s disease – Graves, Basedowiana or endocrine orbitopathy, hypothyroidism and prelibial mixture.

Dr. Salvi treats patients with thyroid diseases (hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism and goiter). In particular, he is specialized in the diagnosis and therapy of Graves (exophthalmos). He also deals with women’s endocrinology, managing thyroid diseases during pregnancy, polycystic ovary syndrome and menopausal-related diseases, including osteoporosis.

He carries out research in the field of autoimmune thyroid diseases at the University of Milan. He also taught endocrinology at the University of Parma and the McGill University of Montreal in Canada. He is a member of the endocrinology staff of the Policlinico of Milan and is the referent for the Basedowiana Orbitopathy.
