Dr. Weitzman is Associate Professor in the Department of Endocrine Neoplasia and Hormonal Disorders, Division of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He graduated from The University at Buffalo School of Medicine in New York. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein/Long Island Jewish Medical Center and an additional year as chief resident. His fellowship training was at the Stony Brook School of Medicine. Upon completion of fellowship, he joined the faculty at Stony Brook as Assistant Professor and was recognized as a top doctor in the New York metro area by Castle Connolly.
Dr. Weitzman joined MD Anderson for uniquely comprehensive training in all aspects of endocrine neoplasia as the inaugural fellow in oncologic endocrinology. He is board certified in endocrinology and is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He sees patients at the Texas Medical Center and in Sugar Land. His clinical interests include thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pituitary.
