Tim Cheetham is a senior lecturer in Pediatric Endocrinology at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals and honorary consultant pediatrician at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. His clinical practice includes pediatric diabetes and endocrinology. His research activity reflects his interest in a range of clinical pediatric endocrine topics although he has a particular interest in thyroid disease.
Currently Dr. Cheetham is Chair of the Joint Standing Committee for Congenital Hypothyroidism, co-opted member of the BSPED Clinical Trials Unit, associate editor of Archives of Disease in Childhood, and medical advisor to the British Thyroid Foundation.
