The Thyroid & Parathyroid Clinic at University of Utah Health provides comprehensive care to our patients from diagnosis to long-term care. The majority of patients undergoing procedures can also do same-day procedures, reducing the number of times you need to come. Some specific conditions treated here are thyroid nodules, hyperparathyroidism and thyroid cancers.
The Thyroid & Parathyroid Clinic offers services that include neck ultrasound, thyroid cancer surveillance, onsite biopsy service, parathyroid localization and ethanol ablation of toxic adenomas and parathyroid adenomas.
We have championed a unique method of estimating hormones in the specimens obtained during the biopsy that improves the diagnostic accuracy, and we have the expertise to perform percutaneous alcohol ablation of cystic thyroid nodules.
