Dr. Edward J. Shin is Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and board certified Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Shin is an accomplished sinus surgeon and thyroid specialist who earned his medical degree from Stanford School of Medicine and completed his advanced residency training at the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Shin’s clinical focus areas include adenoidectomy, allergic rhinitis, audiometry  deviated nasal septum, fine needle biopsy, hearing loss, hyperparathyroidism laryngoscopy, lymph node biopsy, myringotomy, nasal polyp, obstructive sleep apnea, otitis externa, rhinitis, septoplasty, sinus headache, sinus surgery, sinusitis sleep apnea, thyroid cancer, thyroidectomy and tinnitus.

Dr. Shin has contributed to several medical journals and has published numerous articles and book chapters on a wide range of topics within the practice of otolaryngology. He has also been recognized as an expert in his field as is invited to lectures nationally and internationally. He believes that providing every patient with world-class medical care involves state-of-the-art technology, sophisticated treatment options in a compassionate and supportive atmosphere.
