John J. Woog is a consultant ophthalmologist in the Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He has an experience in treating Graves’ disease and his areas of interest include endoscopic lacrimal (tear duct) and orbital surgery, correction of eyelid abnormalities associated with Graves’ disease, cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, and new techniques in eye removal surgery.
Dr. Woog completed his graduation from Pennsylvania State University. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University followed by internship in internal medicine from The Johns Hopkins Hospital and residency in ophthalmology from Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and fellowship in oculoplastic and orbital surgery from University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.
Currently Dr. Woog is a member of American Ophthalmological Society; Chair of Clinical Practice Committee, Department of Ophthalmology; and Chair of Ophthalmic Technology Assessment Committee, American Academy of Ophthalmology.
